BREAKING ALERT

January 24, 2025

Subject: Update for Guam, Micronesia, and Okinawa cargo

Dear Valued Customer:

We have been advised by Matson Navigation Company (“Matson”) that Manukai 244W has been further delayed, and additional repairs will be required. This will result in an omission of Guam and Okinawa on February 4 and 8, respectively, and a one-week delay for cargo originally destined to arrive on those dates.

For Guam and Micronesia, Matson is activating reserve vessel Maunalei to move all freight from the West Coast directly to Guam. Maunalei 198W will carry two weeks of cargo to both destinations and arrive in Guam on Tuesday, February 11. Micronesia cargo will connect to Matson’s feeder network in Guam.

Our island trucking operations will be working hard to expedite the handling of your shipments and minimize any further delay.

For Okinawa, Kaimana Hila 060W will sail as scheduled on Wednesday, January 29, from Long Beach to Hawaii, carrying two weeks of Naha freight. In Hawaii, the vessel will connect Oakland and Tacoma transshipments from Manulani 235W and Maunawili 261W. The ship will sail from Honolulu directly to Okinawa, arriving on Friday, February 14.

Due to the breakout of Matson reserve vessels, Hawaii cargo will experience no delays.

We will continue to monitor this and update you as needed.
